Our Recommended Mold-Making Process
We’ve refined our process over hundreds of pours. Here is how we use this system at Bathyal Labs:

Assembly: Snap the housing system together using the clips.

Mount Dice: Use adhesive (transfer tape) to secure your master dice and housing to a flat surface. Ensure Key Side Down and place your Cone Key.

Seal: Hot glue exterior edges for a leak-proof seal.
-
First Pour: Pour silicone and cure (ideally in a pressure pot).

Prep Second Half: Remove the first half and cone key. Trim silicone flash for a flatter fit.

Release Agent: Apply Talcum powder or Vaseline to the top of the silicone. Do not get it on your master dice.

Second Pour: Place silicone back into housing (Key Side Up), adjust height, seal edges, and pour your second batch.

Finish: Cure, demold, and enjoy!
